From the US Dept. of Education, through the Institute of Education Sciences and the National Center For Education Statistics comes a website chock full of information to help with choosing the right college. You can search colleges by state, degree granted, institution type and geographic distance from a particular zip code. The website also allows you to create a list of schools for side-by-side comparisons. There are also lots of linked resources for figuring out and applying for financial aid and scholarships.
